Hi. I’m Christine. (she/her)

I’ve been a doula since 2012.

A wise doula friend told me that doulas are drawn to this work for either the babies, the birthing process, or the mothers. As a self-confessed birth enthusiast, a love of birth brought me here. Baby snuggles are certainly the sweetest, but what has stuck me to this work is holding space for the deeply impactful transformation that happens during pregnancy and birth as parents are born. Helping you find your voice, define your autonomy, and supporting you in your agency is my jam.

I’ve birthed two of my own babies and I’ve lost two pregnancies. There is love and healing in loss. I deeply believe in supporting loss as a part of this life. Birth and death are sacred rites that require community care. I balance my time parenting, working, and playing. These days I am professionally mentoring other doulas, teaching baby wearing, and still taking clients. and I am committed that each of my continuing education trainings and community supports are inclusive, trauma-informed, and centre around human rights in childbirth.

I live in Airdrie with my high school sweetheart husband Peter (we met working at Dairy Queen as teenagers), our two magical kiddos, my Dad, and our spoiled and much beloved dog Penny. I love reading and I hold an evergreen love for Harry Potter, but a growing disappointment for JK Rowling. Long walks, podcasts, and cabin weekends are a few of my favourite things. I still can’t stomach cooked carrots, sweet white wine or Rod Stewart… I can’t explain it but his gravelly voice and stupid rooster hair makes me cringe. I make a mean fried egg sandwich and I love my friends with fierce loyalty.
